: My guest today Jan Bowen is a women of many talents.  She is an author of her book titled:  It’s Not That Complicated: Find Your Unique Path to an Aligned Life where she will walk you through the simple process of releasing pieces of your life that hold you back while simultaneously discovering ways to move forward towards a more fulfilling one.

Jan is also quite the prolific author having contributed many articles to industry publications.

“5 Major Life Lessons We Need to Teach Our Kids…And Ourselves”

7 Unapologetic Way to Please YOURSELF”

“Uh, No! Why Your Friend at the Office Is NOT Your Work Spouse”

“6 Ways to Be Your Own Damn Therapist!”

“Navigating Gender Inequality”

Jan is the founder and principal of Strategic Solutions Services where she leverages her experience, skills and knowledge to help leaders to reach the next  level of creative aspirations.

I enjoy all aspects of what Jan has to offer the world, however, I wanted to have her on my show to talk about intuition.  She is the creator of the intuition course- How to hear what you know and teaches her students how to learn to recognize, trust, develop and apply your intuition in order to allow it to guide you in life.

I know that while I initially ignored my motherly intuition, I quickly learned to sit quietly with it and pay attention to what those little voices inside were telling me.  I often talk to new moms about trusting their intuition.  I find that as new mothers, we are afraid to trust our intuition for fear of causing harm to our babies.  If we listen to the “experts”, we can’t go wrong,… right?  Actually, that is so far from the truth.

Now Jan has not breastfed any babies, however, I am very excited to have her with us today so she can share with us her pearls of wisdom.   I am interested for all of us to learn from Jan – what is intuition and where does it come from?  It will be great for pregnant ladies and moms to get some tips on how we can begin to develop intuition.  I imagine it begins with gaining confidence to actually listen to our intuition when it speaks to us.  Being so new at motherhood, the tendency is to look outward to the experts and I am very excited for Jan to help us look inward.
